1 Aim and scope of this Knowledge Platform

At the cross project meeting in Salzburg (28th January – 1st February 2013) the partners involved in WP3.2-related research expressed their need for close communication on terms and concepts of the upcoming scenario-processes. In order to address this need it was decided to establish a wiki, similar to the existing WP2.1-wiki, but reserved for purposes of WP3.2-related research. The wiki will mainly consist in a glossary of terms and concepts relevant for the scenario-processes and the according research steps.

1.1 The main purpose of the wiki is:

  • to avoid duplication of work, e.g. when the term ‘harvesting technology’ has been defined by a partner, all other partners can draw on this definition and rephrase it, if necessary, without having to invest their own time in producing a new definition starting from the scratch.
  • to keep the results comparable: the comparison of research results makes sense if all partners refer to the same concepts.
